Not attractive from the outside this was one beautiful church. The blue tiled walls with bible scenes, gorgeous paintings above these and an absolutely stunning altar. Small but absolutely packed with wonderful scenes made for a very pleasant surprise in such a small church.

I was waking past and the door was open, so I walked in. It's very different to the average Catholic church in that the lower walls are tiled and above the tiles are large paintings. There was no information inside on the church. I have since discovered that the tiles date from 1715 and the paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries. The church itself dates from the 16th century. Construction having commences in 1554. Recommended for a visit.
