Wonderful! Standing at the top of the castle feels like you are on top of the world, looking out over years of untouched scenery. The castle is very well preserved!

We went into the castle at the end of the day. There was no one selling or collecting tickets, so we just walked in with everyone else. Great views and interesting construction. It is built into the existing rocks which are used as part of...More

The castle is incredible, however the hand carved stone granaries located below the castle are a more compelling attraction. Clusted in a field, these granite structures, dozens of them, resemble small tombs. Elevated to keep out rats & chickens, many are still in use.

An eagle's nest. A journey into the past. Breathtaking views. Very good hotels and a fabulous city inside a castle.

This castle is centuries old, and there is a small old town within its wall. You will find restaurants and curio shops and artisan studios there. Well worth a visit.

with vistas in every direction. Advise that you purchase the combined castle and museum ticket. The castle is very well preserved with beautiful adjoining gardens. You can wall the rampart walls, and as is typical, no railings so mind your step.

At around 1000 metres, the castle tower gives superb views of the valleys and plains around. What amazed us was the energy and quiet peaceful feeling you get when inside the castle- especially when daylight fades. The sunset from there is very nice! The water...More
