Marvão is a small village with a rich history. This museum, located in a former church, has three collections: Archeological, religious (mostly statues of saints) and etnographic. Especially the archeological has a good context. It doesn't cost a lot, so it's well worth the visit.

This is a small museum which has displays dating to prehistory and up to the medieval period. It is worth a visit as it is very close to the castle.

A small museum with an interesting range of artefacts which are very well presented with English descriptions. Well worth visiting having a very reasonable entry fee.

Nice small museum showing the full history of Marvao Fully renovated in 2015 including english explanations Cheap entry ticket

This little museum (updated in May) is just before the castle entrance. At €1.30 each it is worth a visit. It has displays of the different eras and helps you understand what has gone before.

We loved this museum that housed a quality range of items from the Ptown's history, As with most museums in this region the entry fee is far too low for what you see
