The aqueduto is an amazing structure and the part of the pump mechanism can also be seen. A wonderful sight to see this well maintained ancient monument.

Although Serpa is not high on the list of tourist towns, it has more than its fair share of tourist-worthy sites, including the walls and aquaduct. It is quite picturesque and worth seeing if you are anywhere nearby.

dramatic against the blue sky. Well preserved arches give a good impression of the aqueduct. An old Moorish water wheel at one end is worth seeing.

Very pretty during night time with all the lights. Lucky on this night the traditional choir from Alentejo were singing there, so it was very nice to watch.
