Parked the car just outside the Centro, walked in, enjoyed the historico culture. Lovely just walk and explore all it had to offer.

Only tourist shops, tourist restaurants and bars. Nothing genuine about it. Prefer the small villages and not this tourist trap

There are some old buildings in Albufeira Old Town but there are more modern parts. There are quaint narrow cobbled streets, many bars and restaurants and a few places of interest to visit. This was our second visit to Albufeira and we will be back.

The streets are narrow, but you can enjoy the small buildings as you walk up and down them. On the sea front you get great views from the top of the beach. You're walk will not take long, maybe half an hour

A wonder little old town with quaint little shops, traditional narrow cobblestone streets and a multitude of eateries offering traditional Portuguese dishes as well as North American fare. You can while away an afternoon very easily.

We're sitting in Rocamar right now. I have my iPad with me! The plane was now straight at 900 meters altitude. Exactly here on the Praia do Peneco. That was already the 20th plane that flew right here today. It's a shame for everyone! What...More

I like it here, have been twice and still feel like there's places to explore and new streets to walk down. Lots of bars and restaurants from all nationalities. Beach is a great bonus. Quiet in winter hut very busy in summer.

Hotel Inatel or Sol e Mar are right on the beach with no hills. These will be close but not noisy as your parents sound quite senior. If they can put up with the noise then the Hotel California has had a renovation this year... More

Hi Kathleen I know Albufeira very well but I don't have knowledge of either of those places. I've googled them and no neither are at all within walking distance of beach or old town. I usually stay close to the centre and... More
