Magnificent historic walls of the old castle that are well maintained and also offer great views of the Ria Formosa National Park. Lots of information available at various points. Lovely atmospheric old streets to walk along. Wear sensible footwear though because of the cobbled roads.
As we always park close to the Faro wall, it has become our landmark. But, it is so much more. We love walking around, reading the different plaques, walking through the arches and taking in all it has to offer.
