This a wonderful stadium that makes you feel very close to the players. Such a pity that is so seldom used !

This beautiful stadium was purpose built for the 2004 European Football Championship. Currently rarely used, is a sports arena with architectural interest and great potential thanks to the excellent climate of the Algarve.

On arrival we had to wait in line to collect tickets from a little tiny shed outside the car park. Once we collected the tickets we walked through the car park to the back entrance of the ground. We lined up for 1 hour to get into the stadium. On entrance we wanted something to eat but the selection was... More

Me and my son went to see Germany play Gibralter. This stadium which is virtually in the middle of no where. We stayed in Faro and caught a train to the match which was easy enough but the station stop is out on its own about 20 minutes work to the ground. You can't miss the stadium as stands on... More

The stadium is almost always empty! The awesome part is the parking-lot ... completely empty for you to drive (and to teach the kids how to park and make the islands/roundabouts). The stadium looks cool and the space around is nice to visit.

Fortunately I live locally so drove to the stadium. Those that had to use public transport found it very difficult. This match should have showcased the Algarve, but instead it left many visitors frustrated. The external lighting is poor and the ground around the stadium uneven. The interior is fine, with well spaced seats. The provision of catering for the... More

Out of town stadium difficult to get to on busy match day as nearest public transport railway station a fair walk away across some pretty barren fields and trains do not run late at night when games ending. We got to the stadium on pre-arranged coaches and many others arrived in taxis.

Fantastic stadium, fairly easy to get to by bus, not too expensive. Inside the ground, a bit of a lengthy walk up to the seats, but an excellent view when you get there. But , pre match, the fanzone had queues hundreds deep, and there was a 10 minute wait for the toilets. After the game it was just unsupervised... More

Went for the Scotland Gibralter game. Ground in the middle of nowhere, nearest public transport a station 20/25 mins away, that had its last train just after half time. No bus service, totally dark after the game outwith the ground itself. Why anyone would have thought it a good dea to build it there, no idea. As others noted facilities... More
