The boat dropped us off and we walked 2.5km on a deserted boardwalk to get to Cape St Mary, it was well worth it.

Cape St. Mary Faro Portugal is a beautiful stretch of beach on the southernmost tip of Faro. It always pays if you are lucky enough to have a rental car to travel with your towels and a swimsuit in the car.

Take a long walk along the sandy beach to the monument at the end marking the southern most tip of Ilha Deserta, also the southern most place in Portugal. Once you are on the island, you might as well take a look.
