I went to the Information Center to snag a map, ended up at a Portuguese Guitar Recital and got to see stork nest up close, Later got to see the storks too. All pretty cool!

This must be one of the most photographed attractions in Faro, it is absolutely beautiful and leads you into the old town. I think that most tourists want the picture with the storks which nest on the roof.

Beautiful archway into the old town with storks nesting on the top. It was quiet the street was tourist free we got some great shots of the houses and archway. Be careful though the stones on the path can be slippy.

Absolutely stunning arch leading into the Old Town and of course the Storks nesting, well worth a visit.

Delightful arch into the old town. Pleasing symmetrical design with working clock and bell. Nesting birds do not appear to be discouraged from making a home on the structure. The Tourist Information office is next door where you can pick up a free map etc.

Beautiful arch leading into the Old City. Perched right on the top are three storks nest .At least two were occupied when we were there. What a strange sight.
