Around 10km white sand beach still pristine on Lagos bay on the left side of the river mouth all the way to the Ria de Alvor ocean water mouth. For a coastal trail or a day at the beach it is a great option for nature lovers. You can walk inland where the oyster nurseries are or into Onyria Palmares... More

Huge beach! Ria the Alvor in one side and Lagos old town one the other. When the tide in low in the mornings, jogging there becomes a millionaires dream. There's a few good options to eat nice food, like Palmares Beach Club or Sao Roque restaurant. The water is so clean that dolphins are very common to be seen!

The Meia Praia is my favourite beach in the area. The bay extends for miles and the beach curves round the bay. It's a fabulous walk in the winter and a beach with some space in the summer, although avoid Sunday in July & August because it is packed. The sand is clean and usually the sea is safe for... More

The name is supposed to mean "half beach" but it's huge ! We spent a beautiful, if somewhat windy, afternoon here just after Easter. Very glad we visited. Beach went on as far as the eye could see in both directions. Very clean. On the day, there was a good surf (helped no doubt by the windy day) so I'm... More

Meia Praia is the biggest beach (5,5 kms), curving around the edge of the bay all the way to the Alvor estuary. The Meia Praia beach is bound by wide grassed sand banks that open onto quiet roads. There is plenty of car parking along the beach with more space heading in an easterly direction and is the easiest of... More

Excellent beach only a stroll away from the Marina in Lagos. You can walk for miles along the beach from the Lagos harbour wall through to Alvor harbour wall - 2.5 miles and then back which will make it 5 miles in total. Cafes dotted along the beach as well to give you a break. Such a large beach in... More

My first beach in Lagos. Very close to the Marina in Lagos, but totally separated. Theres a very nice ok restaurant at the beach. Fish restaurant for grilled fish and other. Good bar beer sortiment, close to the beach.Nice soft vibe. But the beach is not much compared to others in Lagos area.
