As we were here in February, the almost empty beach was used by walkers only. It is a really long stretch of beach, exceptional on this part of the Algarve and good to look for beautiful shells.

Just a lovely beach, huge stretch of sand, the sea is crystal clear. Plenty of sun beds with some posh canopy beds if you want to splash out. Water sports, pedalo's to hire and some amazing beach bars and cafes !

This is a wonderful beach. Spotless and miles and miles of clear golden sand. Lots of little cafes just off the sand for light refreshment as you stroll aimlessly along the beach.

This beach is very clean, wide and as far (long) as your eye can see. It's also very flat, so it is perfect for a game of beach futbol. The water is turquoise water is mesmerizing and gorgeous. We were there in late June, so the beach was was not crowded at all. In the morning, the water is VERY... More

One of the most popular beachs but very long and can Sammy find a quiet spot even in summer. It runs round a large bay.

Summer or winter- this beach is always worth going. It is about 8kms long and a lot less populated than the other beaches around. If you go stop by at the yellow building- Bahia beach bar.

This is my local beach and the best beach for walking swimming playing water sports. Winter is the time for long walks ,dressed for the wind but on some days calm and warm. Paddle if you dare! Spring flowers in the dunes and along the river side water sports starting and visitors playing. Water is warming up. Summer hot but... More

We have seen many of the beaches along the Algarve since we have been here and Meia Praia is my favorite. A couple of reasons. I loved the views from the beach. To the east you can see Alvor and Carvoiero in the distance. To the west is Lagos. I also liked the length of the beach so it is... More

Meia Praia is a great beach. But don't go there if there is wind. As you can find much better alternatives.
