This is at the end of a stretch of land in Lagos Portugal. The scenery is amazing - lots of outcrops of rock, caves, arches etc. See it from the top here and then take a boat ride from the centre of Lagos to see it from the sea level. Lighthouse here too (not open to public). Small café and... More

Worth the climb down if you cannot stomach the boat trip! Walk the many cliff paths near the lighthouse and enjoy the savage nature of the cliffs and the fauna.

A fabulous place full of sea arches, stacks otherwise known as grottos. There's no shortage of small boats on offer to take you around the sights. Boats can be taken from the marina or at Ponta da Pieda (descend the steps near the lighthouse).

Beautiful views but not the easiest to get close. Still worth a visit. Make sure you have transport because it is quite a walk in the summer sun.

We took part in an kayak tour which left from the fortress and went all the way to Ponta da Piedade. On the way we passed by some amazing cliffs and caves. I think the best way to see the caves is from the sea by a kayak as you can paddle inside the caves and see things you can't... More

The coastline from the Fortress to the Lighthouse must be one of the most photographed on this planet. On foot along the clifftops the views are impressive but the views from the sea are stunning. Choose your day and choose your boat; ideally you want a calm sea and a high tide. The boats come in different sizes, our choice... More

A tremendous day out. The boat trip qaswell worth it into the many caves and inlets. The walk down again is really steep and you will feel it the next day. I would highly recommend a visit to this beautiful location.

We went by motorboat and were thrilled with the experience of the grottos and caves. A cloudy but calm day is the best time to go. A little expensive but worth it.

Well worth a visit. We had a car hired. The sea was too rough to go via boat. Just as good by land, and free!
