When I started planning our trip to Lagos and saw photos for this place, I knew we had to go - and it did not disappoint! We walked down the steps to catch a boat ride into the grottos and it was worth the 25...More

We didn't spend long here and I'm not sure that there was much to do. Once you've seen the views you can climb up and down steps but really this is better seen from the sea.

This is our favourite place for an early morning walk while it is still quiet and the scenery is quite spectacular, beautiful

Visit this little pennisula and see the scenes used in Portuguese brochures, it is beautiful. With layers rocks sticking out of pristine water, Caves and Grottos, Fisherment etc.etc.

Everybody talks about the Portuguese coast and this is one of the reasons. A steep walk and then the wonderful views. We went an hour and a half before sunset and the colouring and the change of it is wonderful. It reminded me a little...More

Walked there from Aqualuz (20 minutes) although you can get the hourly? tourist land train from the old town promendade. Rugged with great views and you see all the 'grotto tour' boats down below. There is a cafe at the top and you can walk...More

The views of the rock formations are beautiful. It was not crowded and it felt surreal to be surrounded by such natural beauty. We took great pics! You should know that the water is cold but it's so hot outside it felt refreshing. Definitely A...More

very nice and beautiful views from the rocks. Boat trips were recommended but we thought that it was a bit too crowded.

Ever changing views whether on land or sea, fantastic photo opportunities, but does test your fitness climbing back up the steps!

You can climb down the stairs and see the rock formation from sea level. You even can hop on a boat (if you pay for it) and visit the surrounding grottos.

It is possible to reach by public transport but I won't advice to do so. You can rent a bicycle and reach here quite easily (I am assuming you won't be staying too far from the city center).

I have only walked it, it would be possible to cycle but I think you would spend a lot of time on the roads instead of then cliffs as it can be very narrow on the rocks and not cyclable in some parts at all. The cycling... More
