My daughter and I went out for a hack today with Laura who took us out into some truly beautiful countryside. I rode Bob and Sophie was on Henrietta and they were really well behaved and were easy to ride being very responsive. Bob was eager to get some speed up and happily trotted and cantered when asked. We have... More

The stables are a place you just want to be. The horses are well looked after and the staff make you feel very welcome. However at some point you will want to get on a horse especially if that horse is Ruby (she likes men apparently). The restaurant ride of my title is a ride out to a proper Portuguese... More

For a bit of background, I am an experienced rider and traveler and always try to go riding during my travels. I was in Lagos for a week and only had time for one ride, and chose QPA (which stands for Quinta do Paraiso Alto) over the other two riding centers near Lagos because several reviews mentioned that they provide... Me and my Mum went to QPA riding centre today and loved it.The horses were amazing, they were very keen ,fast, but very safe. The girls at the centre were lovely and instructed us on what to do if something went wrong and were really helpful. Sue made us a great picnic that we ate by the lake after having gone... More

I booked on the restaurant ride whilst I was staying in Lagos. Jinny dealt with the booking via email and was really helpful regarding the arrangements. The location of the stables is stunning and the staff are all very friendly. The riding was fantastic! The horses are fit and forward going and the scenery in the hills is breathtaking! I... More

I was in town on a cruise ship and contacted the center via email ahead of time because I wanted a more advanced ride than the beginner ride offered through the cruise excursion office. Jinny emailed me right away and suggested the restaurant ride. She even tailored the time to fit my schedule in port. It was a great ride... More

Me and my friend randomly decided we wanted to try horse riding whilst on holiday. We googled and trip advisor'd our way through riding schools until we found one we felt treated the horses correctly. We arrived at QPA at 3ish for an hour hack around a valley and it was PERFECT! The staff were unbelievably friendly, the horses treated... More

Two hour ride up to the water mill and back. Totally off road. I definitely didn't want tame nose to tail pony trekking which is what can sometimes happen when you rock up at a riding place for the first time. Jinny (after checking I was competent enough) arranged for me to go out with one other client and the... More
