Interesting

This museum is inside the castle and the fee of 1.62 euro each covers it all. It has historic artifacts of the eras covering the castle and is definitely worth a look.

Visit of the municipal museum - worth a few Euro's
Oct. 2018 • Couples
Small museum with some old artifacts, one room giving an impression of a traditional kitchen in these parts of Portugal and a room devoted to the municipal administration some years back. The towers are worth a visit as they give a view on parts of Louie and its surroundings. Most importantly: a visit to the small museum is nice break away from the crowds of tourists populating the streets at daytime. Nice and quiet and cool.

The Municipal Museum of Loulé.

This is a fine little museum associated with the Loulé Castle, so it includes access to the castle ramparts with views of the town and sea. It is an informative museum with very well presented exhibits. It is a nice asset for this lovely town.

This is a small museum with artefact from from romans to modern times there is English on all exibits which was good and entry price was reasonable. The best part was the view from walls outside ,also the walls explained ,at one time the encompassed the town. The town of Loule is a lovely place well worth exploring.

Small but informative museum
Aug. 2017 • Family
Revisited the museum after a gap of one year and nothing much had changed, however it was still a pleasant way to spend 45 mins with our two children aged seven and five. The museum is very nicely laid out with artefacts from Stone Age to modern day with lots of interesting tools, pots and coins. The labels are in English also which helps. There is an example of an Algarvean mountain house interior above which adds some variety and a nice view from the tower over the town. Nothing to write home about, but then again it cost me €3.20 for the whole family to get in. Worth a visit if you are exploring Loule, unlike the dried fruit museum down the road which is very lacking in content (though free).

Not worth going in
Jul. 2017 • Family
The perfect example of a useless museum: nothing really worth seeing inside. Instead, see the castle from the outside.

good view from top of walls

Museum is pretty small. Main feature would be walking along the top of the wall and overlooking one end of the city,

The Landmark of this little market town of Loulé
Apr. 2017 • Friends
There is an abundance of Castles and Palaces throughout Portugal and its amazing History, but this one has capture my eye, and I could not help but fall in love with it! I was particularly impressed with how well preserved and looked after by a dedicated team who take their job seriously, and are keen to tell its story. Well done. This is definitely a good place to start your visit to Loule.
