Tiny church
Oct. 2020 • Solo
It's a tiny little church/chapel, and dates back to the 17th century, I saw it by accident as I was headed to the castle, a quick peep in showed a very beautiful interior, I was very impressed!

I always light a candle for my parents when I visit. Amazing little church. A must see if you are in Loule.

Take a visit
Oct. 2019 • Couples
Visited here on a recent visit and wander around Loule. We managed to pick up a map of nearby key attractions. Beautiful little church, friendly lady and free to enter. Stunning gold decor and details and eye catching blue and white tile details. Ruins on the floor visible via glass with detailing on it. Sign outside in multiple launguages giving you the history. A must see in Loule.

The little church
Sep. 2019 • Couples
Visited recently on a day trip to Loule, what a lovely place, steeped in history, built in the mid 17th century. It's only a small room, but well worth visiting.beautiful alter and decorated walls. Free to enter.

Worth a brief visit
Sep. 2019 • Couples
Close to the covered market in the centre of the old town this is seconds from the Main Street. A few steps lead into the small single room with wonderful blue and white tiles and a now fading golden altar back.
You simply step inside. Nothing to pay. Photos allowed.

Interesting and Worth Stepping Inside
Aug. 2019 • Family
It's basically one room (closed for lunch 13:00 to 14:00) and I think it may still be consecrated as it's possible to light a candle.

I've never seen anything like it in my life; so it was worth a look inside.

Small stunning church
Jun. 2019 • Couples
Called the Chapel of Our Lady of the Conception this sixteenth-century church is amazing internally. It is located not far from the main Saturday fruit and veg market building off a side street. It’s very close to the castle and can easily be missed as externally it is not a grand church with an imposing facade. The main walls internally, however, comprise of blue and white tiles with the impressive knave at the end formed of gilt carved woodwork which is stunning. Well worth a brief visit.

Stunning!
Apr. 2019 • Couples
On our way to the farmers’ market we noticed this church with an open door. It was a Saturday and not many people were around the entrance so we walked up and went it. It is bright and shiny and beautiful. The walls are all tiled in blue and white and the overall ambience invites reverence. It was a Saturday and we did not pay. If in Loulé this is worth a visit.

A lovely small chapel
Dec. 2018 • Couples
We almost missed it because those school groups completely filled the few steps up to it. We weren't sure what it was until we were able to read the sign. I am so glad we did not pass it by. It is very small but exquisitely decorated with gilt and traditional tiles. It is a lovely small gem in the middle of town and only takes a few minutes to visit.

Set between shops and cafes, this is a small chapel with stunning walls and ceiling but could be easily missed. We didn't pay to go in and it is a good photo opportunity.
