Totally indifferent customer service. The course itself is lovely, in great shape and a challenge for any handicap. However, the whole set up is to take as much money as possible from you. This was my first overseas golf trip and maybe my expectations were...More

Played this course twice recently, the greens on the back 9 very different to to front nine, in speed. Also to protect the holes they leave in the plastic rings at the top of the hole obviously not allow under the rules of golf. Poor...More

We booked a golf holiday in 5 star Sao Rafael last January. Arriving at Morgado yesterday, one of the hotel’s courses, it was clearly overbooked. We were informed that not only were there no buggies or electric caddy cars available but there weren’t even pull...More

Played here a week ago.Course average at best.Do not know how or why Portuguese Open was hosted here.Staff not very welcoming.Club House average again..Surrounding views are full of abandoned hotel constructions.Avoid the NAU courses/hotels group and go with the Pestana/Alvor option..Lots better all round.

Fairways were in a decent condition but the greens were hairy and very slow. The first cut was very very long making a decent passage of play very slow. Generally a decent course but needs a lot of work.

Enjoyed playing Margado. Course was in fantastic condition, very forgiving off the tee , with superb greens. Lovely club house , with balcony overlooking the course, no better place to enjoy a well earned drink after your round. Unfortunately, I would like to warn others...More
