This is the first beach we walk along when we arrive in Sagres. It is very clean and has a lovely atmosphere to it.

One of the beaches from the village of Sagres. Was not all that crowded and great for a swim. There are few restaurants and hotels nearby, so a good place to spend some time.

At last a remote beach. We’ve been there on a Friday morning until 12:30 and very few people were there. View amazing as usual and sandy beach.

Just down from the main Street with easy access. Used for surf teaching, but plenty of room for simple swimming.

This is a long beach with interesting cliffs and colorful rock formations. There are several beach restaurants and places where you can rent lounge chairs and water sports equipment.

Mareta Beach was the one we visited nearly every day. There were several others nearby but this one just had the best waves. A green, yellow or red flag showed us whether it was dangerous to go swimming or not. You can hire a sun...More
