We had a good walk with a breeze and great views. Nothing exiting but worthwhile a visit when you are around!

Decided to visit last minute and glad we did. Stunning views and interesting watching the Portuguese men on the cliff edges fishing. It is a delightful visit and price wise it is a nice way to spend a few hours exploring

Well worth a visit, if you're within a short drive of the area, if only for the views over the Atlantic. They are simply amazing. As an attraction, it's slightly limited. We felt it lacked the historical context that would have helped us get a...More

The very old fortress has been nicely renovated and a nice walkway has been contracted all the way around the inside along the sea. Many informative points have been placed explaining about flora and fauna and the fortification. Very nice views along the coast line....More

I visited the Fortaleza during my trip in Algarve. It is very close to capo sao Vincente and I think that the Fortaleza offers a more magic and complete view on the ocean expecially at the sunset. There is a big square at the beginning...More

Come in the evening, as by this time most people have left and you might even have the place to yourself by closing time

My husband and I visited this site today. A great walk with beautiful scenery, history and nature all bundled in one. For three euros wth lots of parking, could not be beat. They had some interpretative plaques which were adequate to point out the highlights...More

A small piece of the Portuguese history that you need to visit, but please do not expect to find a clean restroom or a good place where to drink something, it’s not the objective. Do not miss the “sounds” of the sea. Please ask to...More
