Only €1 to get into the cathedral different to others I've seen with the coloured brickwork. English translated signs in use and nice atmosphere with music playing only about 15mins needed to visit.

Small building, well preserved with however little to be seen. 1 € fee to be paid. The visit is not worth more.

Visited following a visit to the Castle above it. The entry fee is 1.00 euro, payable at a side entrance to the cathedral. A place with a history dating back to 13th century & built mostly in red sandstone. The floor plan is in the...More

The wonderful old Sé is an important landmark in the town and is visible for miles around. The route up is well signposted. There is a modest entrance charge. A lot of information is provided and there’s a suggested route to follow within. Don’t forget...More

Cathedral from 13th and once the Algarve bishop's seat, it has little to offer nowadays. Somewhat plain and stripped inside. Said to have crusades tombs, but we never found them. Could be visited if you visit the Silves Castle. Or not.

Typical cathedral that requires much tlc as decay has started to take place. Wooden sections of floor show evidence of wood worm and could be classified as a trip hazard. There is not an entrance for wheelchair users apparent. The internal structures, fabric & gilded...More

Beautiful €1 entry fee, worth a quick visit on the way to the castle. Breathtaking stained glass, small but gorgeous cathedral.

Perched on top of a fairly steep hill, next to the castle. It is more like a church than a cathedral.
