Well laid out with interesting artifacts and good write-ups. Parallel English translations meant that I could understand the exhibits. The pottery is very impressive.

My husband and I visited here this week. It was lovely day out. We went to Silves Castle and Museum . Bought a combined ticket for both. Very reasonable , if I remember correctly, less than 10 euro for both of us to enter both.
Our entry price for this museum was included in our tickets to the Castle (which we had visited beforehand). I wouldn't describe this museum as being small, as others have. Love the fact that you can touch many of the artifacts - which for children...More
we went after the castle visit all pay in one it was very interesting lots of different things to see it shoed man from the earliest time to the present day and pottery and other bits of other nice things worth a visit
We bought the combined ticket for €3.90 we spent 10mins in the museum, unless you are interested in history or archaeology then don't visit. There were lots of pots that had been found but no English explaining anything. Some interesting pictures on the first floor...More
Beautiful little museum, tiny but not to be missed if you like history. I was impressed by the (very slight) Visigothic burial remains and the castle model. They have made the most of what they have and it is not expensive ( free for OAPs).
