Great overnight climbing experience. The guide was very professional and supported us at different stages of the hike. One of our group members couldn't continue, so he helped us arrange the hike down and also organised accommodation for the fellow. The sunset and sunrise have been majestic with really nice pictures taken by the guide. The climb itself has been relatively difficult for someone who doesn't hike regularly, plus we found the surface to be steep and unstable at frequent points. To our success, the weather was clear, without rain or too much wind and we even saw the Milky Way. Advice for other climbers would be to bring warm clothes like gloves and winter cap - at the top it feels like 5 degrees celcius.

What an amazing experience...! Traveling with the backpack up the hill was a hell of an experience. You really have to be careful and a good health/condition is a must.
The guide keeps everyone under his guard and he looks after you when you need it. He was really nice and did it perfectly!
The overnight in the crater was really really cold but the equipment the gave us was perfect for the weather.
The view at sunrise was worth every step up the mountain and the way down was easy compared with the climb.
Perfect to do with the guide and the equipment! Worth the money!

My boyfriend’s 40th birthday celebration was to take the overnight climb on Mount Pico. He was very excited about this, I was supportive.
We did no prior training. I’m not sure why there is even an option to take this climb without a guide. This was extremely challenging. This is not like a wander around on a marked out trail. This is a full climb, up and back down a very steep and Rocky Mountain. It’s slippery and high af. You need those mountain climber pole things The trail is pretty difficult to make out so you really need a knowledgeable guide. Manuel, Antonia, and Nuno were incredible. So patient and will encourage you to make it to the top. They’ll also make you feel safe. Seeing the sunrise and sunset from the top of the world is exhilarating.
And if you feel like you need help Manuel will take you into his strong arms and guide you down the mountain. The experience was altogether charming and harrowing.

Manuel is an excellent guide. Very knowledgable and committed to making sure each person on the hike enjoys their time. He also spends time arranging and taking pictures for everyone. Our group was a lot of fun and ending up getting lunch together after we finished the descent. I recommend bringing more warm weather gear than you expect to need. The gear provided is very good and well taken care of but the wind can be challenging without the correct clothing.

We had a beautiful sunset and sunrise. Manuel provided us with hot tea and coffee. I can't recommend it enough.

We were a small group of 7 people and the whole experience will be something I will never forget.
We had a really experienced guide who provided us a lot of hig quallity gear for the overnight climb, sleep and morning descend. He was prepared to always lend a hand and go beyond tne norm to help us as a group.
The conditions were quite demanding and even though it was raining through the night the tent was amazing and the sleeping bags warm.
The morning sunrise was an extraordinary site, well worth the climb.
