The views are great

Driving into Furnas the views are incredible. We saw 3-4 rainbows while driving through the mountains. Wandering around the hot springs was interesting.

Nice little village and worth a detour even during the winter months due to the thermal spas. Not many restaurants open during low seasons though.

Pure Azores picked us up from our hotel. We spent a full day touring the east end of the island; thermal pools at Furnas, a traditional lunch that had been cooked underground, beautiful vistas. Miguel is enthusiastic and informative. He went above and beyond to ensure the happiness of his clients!

Furnas is a terrific place to visit. A beautiful setting and a very pretty town - add to that the fascination of the hot sprongs and the spa baths and you have a must see destination.

Photos and words cannot describe Furnas. From the surrounding area to the quaint town to the main attraction. It would and should be on everybody's bucket list if only people knew it existed! We hope to return and stay for a couple of days one day soon.

Interesting small town to visit with its evidence of underground volcanic activity. There are numerous bubbling and steaming puddles and small lakes of warm/ hot water. It struck me that there is not much health and safety here as I am sure people would easily be able to enter the fenced off areas and possibly burn themselves. It is an... More

Village is beautiful with lots to see & do, even during rainy season of late October. Mountain drive with spectacular views, hot springs (caldeiras) to see & swim in, Furnas was a highlight of our trip

Surrounding the amazing caldeiras and fumarolas reminiscent from the sleeping volcano activity lies the beautiful village of Furnas. Nearby you have access to other amazing experiences like Parque Terra Nostra and Poça da Beija.
