We got a taxi from Ponta Delgada ( 30 min ) and immediately checked into the spa Thermos de Ferraria . There were lockers , Indoor /Outdoor thermal pools , Turkish bath , jacuzzi and treatment rooms . They provided beautiful white robes , towels and slippers . We had massages . The massage is done in a common room... More

Ask at the front desk of your hotel for the low tide times, varies daily,. Plan to be there at least 1/2hr before. Good change rooms are provided. Shoes are needed to walk down to the pool. Thankfully ropes are strung across the pool to hang onto as the waves surge in and out of the pool, depending on the... More

This place is a set of four experiments. First there is a place with an imposing landscape and access to a sea bay where you can swim for free. Then there is the terrace bar which allows to rest and recharge your batteries in this magnificent place. Third there is a spa where you can pay for various treatments. Finally... More

We visited for the natural thermal pool. There isn't a charge to use the natural pool. There are changing rooms and bathrooms near the pool. Water shoes are recommended. It was fun hanging on the ropes in the pool as the water came in and out. The further out you were, the cooler it was. There were some spots that... More

In one word--awesome!First, the drive to get to the spa is lovely, through small villages with colorful flowers along the road. Then down a switchback, steep road overlooking the ocean and volcanic rocks. Very scenic view. My husband and I spent 5 hours and enjoyed every minute. First we swam in the indoor thermal pool, then had massages . Many... More

The sea was too rough to use the free natural hot pool so I opted to pay 6 euros to swim at the outdoor pool at the spa. It was clean and the perfect temperature for me. I really enjoyed just lounging around. Then I decided to get a massage at the indoor spa. It was so relaxing - and... More

The outside thermal pool is ok but nothing compared to the beautiful baths in Furnas. There are no views to the ocean from the spa pool. The inside spa is so unpleasant you want to get out as soon as you get in. There are signs of thick mould on the ceilings, the water in the inside thermal pool looks... More

Termas Ferraria was such a treat! My favorite day. The steep drive down to the point has beautiful views. My husband and I both got massages - Ask for Nuno - He's excellent and very friendly and helpful. We paid only 75 euro and included with the massage was the inside thermal pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool and nice showers... More

Termas Ferraria is the spa located in Ponta de Ferraria. There is a natural hot springs which is free to access. The outdoor pool as part of Termas Ferraria has a fee. You pay at the restaurant (6 euros/pax). The outdoor pool is fine and the water was warm. It isn't the nicest thermal water pool on the island though.... More
