Azores Whale Watching & Islet Boat Tour

173 reviews
Set on an Atlantic marine migration route, the Azores are a world-class whale-watching destination. Enjoy a high chance of seeing cetaceans, such as sperm whales and/or dolphins, with the help of biologist guides supported by spotters operating from inland. Your tour is by speedy, easy-to-maneuver RIB boat—lifejackets and waterproof jackets are included—and finishes with a look at the volcanic Islet of Vila Franca do Campo.

We passed by this Church all the days moving from the center to our guest house. It was closed all the time, but before departure we managed to go there after all.The Church is more interesting inside than outside. The Church of St. Peter was built in the XVII century on the site of the old Church of the XV century. However, the Church itself and the bell tower were partially destroyed in 1681. It was restored naturally in the style of the then dominant Baroque.

Right across from the cruise port conveniently located for a quick visit. Small but still beautiful.

Beauty, peace and splendour, all describe this magnificent church. It overlooks the harbour in its traditional black and white colours. Inside there is a richness of experience that leads, in a respectful way, to being a much prized historic gem. It should not be missed by visitors who will marvel at its grandeur.

In our trip with p&o Britannia we walked around after our tour. It's really close to the pier and beautiful inside and out.
