A nice farmers market. We bought some fruits and vegetables here to cook for dinner. We went there a bit late so some stalls area already closed. It is worth a visit though. You can buy cheese, fruits, vegetables, local pineapples, plants, souvenirs and local produce here.

We wanted to check out this market but by the time we arrived it was a little late for anything. Most of the vendors were closing down leaving just some vegetables and fruit stands still opened. We were not going to get fruits or vegetables. Seemed to be a huge market but maybe next time...…

There are SO many yummy and affordable stands here with fruits and vegetables and cheeses. I got some local honey and bananas and some souvenirs from some local shops. The people were very friendly and welcoming. But fair warning (and this is not a complaint) most do not speak or understand English. This was probably the only area on the island where the locals didn’t speak/understand us. We spent about 30 min here— if you plan on doing your own cooking or want to try some local foods you could probably spend longer.…

I was excited to check out a local market, but this was highly disappointing. Not many vendors and so it was rather depressing. I had hoped to pick up some last minute souvenirs, but no luck. The bright spot was the cheese store - popped in here and was pleasantly surprised to have lots of choice. …

The market itself is rather small, although it is interesting to walk around and experience for a few minutes. On the side there are a number of souvenir shops. Among them, there is a nice shop run by a husband and wife team selling a range of Soa Miguel t-shirts. This should has a nice selection and the owners went out of their way to help us.…
