You don't have to be in peak shape to visit! This was beautiful from top of stairs all the way to the bottom. There are stopping plateaus on the stairs for a 'rest'. The view from the bottom is worth it!

Never been to a valcano cave before so this is nice to see. Volcano rocks, the little lake down the bottom due to constant rain drop (humidity caused it, I think), and formation of salt rock, they are quite fascinating. It descends 300 steps from...More

It was a rainy day, but as it is wet inside the volcano anyway, we were properly dressed to descend about 300 feet into the earth! The stairs were easily navigated even by my husband who has some mobility issues. Our friend who was with...More

Loved visiting the inside of this volcano, and it's the only place in the world where you can do that. The entrance ticket is very affordable , you just have to look for the week days that it's open.

This was a once in a lifetime great experience. Be warned though, it’s physically demanding. I sucked it up and went to the bottom of the cave. It’s worth it, but be aware of the steep steps/moisture and tight squeeze wen heading back up them!

One of the top 5 experiences of my life was being inside of this cave. It was so cool to realize that there are only 4 caves in the world that you can actually be inside and this is one of them and it only...More

I've been inside of lava tubes in Hawaii but this is quite different. It's neat to be able to make the descent and find the lake below, and see the long stalagtites. It's quite beautiful! There are so many stairs but one can go as...More

This was an amazing experience. To actually go down inside a volcano and look up to see where the lava / gases had once escaped. There are steps, but you don't have to go all the way to the bottom to get a feel for...More
