This museum has to be one of Portugal's unsung heroes. There is so much to do and see in Portugal but this museum is a must see. My husband and I were blown away by the beauty of the little church and the wonderful ceilings. We spent about an hour and a half here wondering…
Really a restored convent which specialises in the story of convent life and that of its most famous resident,a princess who became a saint,Saint Joan of Aveiro. Beautiful tomb and chapel and emphasises the importance of religion to the Portuguese people,at least in the past.
Did not think this would be as interesting as it was but very glad we did go and have a look. Some very interesting things inside and worth the visit
