This is a place that everybody should visit, its Aveiro and its history, connected to the sea and fishermen and the hard labour of going to Atlantic Ocean for the catch of our famous "bacalhau" very important

Best to use a free bike or walk along the canal for 25 minutes. Small, but interesting. Another salt pan behind the university is equally nice as much more bird life--even migrating flamingos if you are lucky about 20 minutes opposite direction from town.
