We thoroughly enjoyed our boat trip on the canals. The guys were friendly and informative and the 45 minute trip was very interesting.

Day trip to Aveiro, the "Portuguese Venice". It does have four main channels, some bridges and boats. It does have a lagoon so the comparison is not so off. It used to produce sea salt and collect seaweed to use as fertilizer but the business...More

We arrived in the rain and I thought what a dive. As soon as the sun shone - the aria de Aveiro came to life. It’s comprised of beautiful canal passageways to the Atlantic. The main historic center on the grand canal has many bakeries...More

Lots to do and see, great fish restaurants, interesting art gallery and churches and a modern park that snakes for 10 miles through the city. known as the Venice of Portugal for its web of canals.

We stopped here on our way to Porto. I guess after having been to Venice a few times our visit was a letdown. We had a difficult time finding a parking garage and then had a few mis-steps in finding the area with the canals....More

It is a nice small trip into the river, with a guide telling you some intresting facts about the city. BOOK your trip earlier you won't find at the spot, as we saw everyone has 10€/person. Have a jacket with you!
