Beautiful on a sunny day

We wandered all over the campus And admired the architectural beauty Good access by bus as the climb from the bottom of the hill is for goats or younger people

You will pay for a visit, that you will remember for a life. With kids, ir without them, you will see unforgetable treasures fullfilled of traditions and emotions owned by portuguese students and non students. Visit... you will like for sure.

One of the most beautifull universities in Europe, and it's the oldest in Portugal. Incredible also the Joanina's library.

We were given timed visits for some of the areas and told to go to the chapel first. When we got to the chapel they were actually about to start a mass there so we could not visit properly which was rather annoying.

Coimbra university if in the most amazing location, on top of a hill, the views are wonderful, the small (sometimes steep) streets the wind around the university are great. I studied in a city based university in London, this place is just spectacular!

Charming and historic. If passing through Coimbra, don't miss the [steep and painful] climb to the university. In addition to the library, which is a wonder that cannot be missed, it presents beautiful views, historic stories and a lovely student atmosphere in the winder. The atmosphere is what will make you fall in love with this city, and nowhere is... More

Views of the City from the Bell Tower were fantastic. Even for a short stop over that We had, the university offer a visit to remember. Our group spent the whole day in Coimbra for business but managed to squeeze in an hour or so to visit the city and the university. Wonderful views

Coimbra University is the oldest and most prestigious University in Portugal, and also one of the oldest in Europe. You'll be thrilled with history of knowledge and science which have evolved at this magnificent place for the last eight centuries. Fantastic views from the university tower and a magical visit to one of the most beautiful libraries in the world,... More
