Spend time walking, exploring and eating. Plenty of historical buildings and sites. All through country people are helpful and nice.

Except for some special place like the old palace area, the university is a bit worn out with graffiti everywhere and few places need to be prepared.

The library is stunning but other historic parts are equally worth visiting. The tower is a tuff climb but worth the effort

The university quad at the top of the hill is absolutely stunning - with views to match. Beautiful architecture - highly recommended.

The Old town and university offers a wealth of grand buildings with remarkably unfettered access . We wandered around the campus in the early evening in amongst the students dressed in their gowns. The buildings themselves are adorned with grand statues and frescoes .

The University of Coimbra is among one of the oldest in the world and the oldest in Portugal. We spoke a few students - positive feedback. Do not miss the botanical gardens as well.

Yo compre las entradas alli. Las colas son fluidas y no hay que esperar mucho. Hay varios tipos de visitas e incluso algunas a ciertas horas son guiadas. No se si hay venta anticipada por internet.
