Beautiful place to relax and enjoy. Roads are a bit twisty and tight but it was all part of the charm. We stopped along a few little towns along the way. I highly recommend Piodao for a stop. Everywhere was very quiet for summer breaks.

Serra do Açor is a set of mountains located at the Central Region of Portugal. The name SERRA means several mountains and AÇOR is a kind of eagle, which can be usually seen at this protected area. The scenic routes, the fabulous landscapes and the fresh air invites to explore the region, although the lack of information, sometimes confusing and others totally absent. The Serra do Açor is side to side to Serra da Lousã, another set of mountains with higher trees and green abundant. There are several nice villages through those both mountains like Piodão, Chãs de Égua, Coja, Lousã, Fajã, Góis, Pampilhosa da Serra, etc, where the tipical gastronomy complements the nature beauty of the region.
