It was a little hard to find. The man at the desk was friendly. The video was fine for the adults but the kids got bored. The walk was pretty and the youngest child helped on the salt field in the mud (which he loved)....More

This place was further out of town than we initially thought but worth the drive - bit hard to park as the road is very narrow. The lady running the site is charming and speaks excellent English - and she knew lots. She talked us...More

Who knew salt could be so interesting? The tour guide gave an excellent presentation on the fascinating history of extracting salt from the sea. There is a lovely small gift shop where you can purchase cute little bags of salt to take home. Just a...More

The place is spetacular with lots of birds and very quiet. Unfortunelly the the winter open times are wrong in the web site and in google.

It's not a typical tourist attraction - some may get bored as there are not too many attractions. However, learning about salt production has its advantages. Moreover, you can learn some things in peaceful and friendly atmosphere.

Sadly the museum was closed when we visited the place, but you could still walk around the area and learn from the infomation boards about the salt producing process. A nice place to visit and do learn some facts when the sun in shining.

Museu do Sal shows and explains thoroughly the process of producing sea salt. I've been there with a friend of mine with her kids and my 8-year-old daughter. It was really interesting and educational. Smaller children might not get the gist of it, but after...More

This is a cute, little museum showing the production of salt. It's interesting and worth a short visit if you're nearby. But a taxi from Figueira da Foz cost 15 euroes in each direction, so it's really only worth visiting if you have a car....More
