Silencetour provides segway guided eco-tours to small groups in the forest of Serra de Sintra, in Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.Unusually close to a major city like Lisbon, Sintra-Cascais Natural Park has managed to preserve throughout the territory surrounding the westernmost point of continental Europe and to coexist harmoniously nature and human presence, that, so near the capital, would inevitably make itself felt .In its territory, the park presents a stunning diversity of environments and landscapes, including sand dunes, forests, lakes, a rugged coastline where high cliffs are interspersed with lovely beaches, the imposing and Cabo da Roca, in the center, the magnificent Serra de Sintra and the entire area classified by UNESCO as a cultural landscape heritage of mankind. What can you see:From the point of view of the flora, fauna and geomorphology, this area is particularly rich and varied. Around the volcanic outcrop of Sintra on a land of origin of basalt, granite and limestone, grow many tree and shrub species, among which is still possible to find representatives of the primitive flora, such as oak, the executioner and the very characteristic nostalgia (Armeria pseudarmeria), which is endemic to the Portuguese flora.Among the most common animals are, the wild rabbit, fox, kestrel-to-back-tabby, badger, weasel, snake-ratter and dozens of bird species, and to highlight some rare examples of eagle-de-Bonelli and Peregrine falcon.

Catarina was lovely in her emails and made us feel happy about choosing this activity from the word go. We went for the Sintra tour and Vasco picked us up from Cascais for a small extra cost. He actually dropped us off at Sintra palace because we changed our minds on the day and wanted to go and see it... More

Our tour with Vasco was the highlight of our trip to Lisbon this winter. We took advantage of Catarina's offer to have Vasco pick us up in Baixa for only 40 euros extra and enjoyed a delightful conversation with him during the 40 minute trip to and from the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Don't even try to use public transportation to... More

I went to the tour with my brother and sister. I booked the tour hoping my brother and sister would enjoy it. They loved the tour and was a great contrast to Lisbon city which we visited the next day. This tour location is also close to the Sintra palaces which we visited after the tour. The terrain were varied... More

We always try to add 1 or 2 properly fun activities in any of our family trips (paragliding, jet sky, dunes buggy, etc). This time we opted for some outdoor segway and a Chance to properly enjoy the cascais-sintra mountainous park. Even though heavy fog plagued our day (the whole week really) both my daughter and myself thoroughly enjoyed ourselves... More

If you can do this, do it! I can't say enough good things about the tour, it was perfect. My girlfriend and I had considered the jeep tour around the SIntra mountains, thank god we did this instead. One of the best activities I've ever done!

Booked at the last minute as we enjoyed a Lisbon city Segway tour and fell in love with Segways. This tour not only eclipsed the city tour but was the most memorable part of our vacation. Family of four (12 and 14 yr old children), we took the 2.5 hour tour (lasted about 3 hours) with Vasco (who is the... More

We had a couple of hours with Vasco to ourselves. He was patient and taught us how to operate the Segways, then took us on a magical tour through the clouds, up and down the hills and out into the sunshine. Fabulous scenery and a fabulous dvd reminder of our tour arrived within a couple of weeks. Highly recommended and... More

This was fantastic. Even with low clouds making the views limited it was well worth doing. Vasco picked us up from Cascais and is a great host, he makes you feel safe and also offers lots of information about the woods and mountains. And he ensures you also have fun. It may seem expensive but is well worth it and... More

We are a couple with a 13 year old son. Last year we did a Segway tour in Lisbon which we really enjoyed. This year we thought we would try off roading and booked with Silencetour. The owner operator Vasco was very helpful from the start. He speaks excellent English and is a good communicator. We had a quick refresher... More

We took the longer tour (3 hours) and enjoyed it so much! We got picked up at our hotel by the guide Vasco and he drove us up to the hills of Sintra. There we offloaded the segways and took off after a short warmup. We have driven segways several times in cities, but that is nothing like this! It... More
