Historic Cascais

We passed this site daily and finally went in. It is a FREE exhibit on the history of Cascais going back before the Romans. We should have stopped in when we first visited Cascais.

We saw three exhibitions all from different periods. The building itself is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. Do visit it after you have had a long walk in the park.

This place is free of charge and contains a lot of paintings, watercolors, and other art. There are quilts and other items. It is located near the harbor.

We popped in here on the last day of our holiday and only paid €3 to see an amazing photography exhibition of Nicolas Muller's work amongst other things. The staff were very friendly and they also have a beautiful atrium area with cafe/restaurant.

I was surprised at the quality of the artwork in Centro Cultural de Cascais. It is a modern exhibition centre which I had only visited once before, and given that it is free, it is well worth spending 20 minutes wandering around. The canapé service for receptions is also very nice, as I could testify.

We visited on a Sunday. To our surprise admission was free on Sunday. Would have paid. Three floors of exhibits are worth going to.
