Cascais is a cute little seaside town where many Lisbon locals flock to enjoy the beach and great weather of Portugal in summer. Overall, Cascais is a great day-trip destination from Lisbon, especially when combined with a trip to Sintra, Queluz and/or Cabo da Roca.

Like many European town, Cascais has a "car free" zone. This makes for a comfortable walking experience. There are shops and restaurants for every taste. We were taken by the beautiful patterns on the streets, white and black cobble stone.

The centre of the town is very nice. Small streets and shops. A lot of ancient buildings with interesting history.

The village itself is lovely but it's spoilt with all the Irish pubs and tacky tourist cafes. The walk from Cascais to Estonia is a must do.

It’s a beautiful city to walk around to discover beautiful sites and eat well. It’s easy to get there from Lisbon. We went using Uber and was very cheap. But can use train and bus. It’s a beautiful drive down the coast.

Cascais is a town so yes. Pedestrian zone obviously excluded, but you can park nearby and walk.

Hi! I don't know, sorry. We didn't try that. The beaches are great though! And I'm sure you can do some research and e-mail a few hotels asking them in advance.

Yes. There are craft stalls and shops, especially the ones selling bags, wallets etc made from Cork.
