Worth a Visit

A neat location with great views of the Atlantic coast. Worth the vist to say you visited the most Westerly point on the European continent.

We were here in Oct 2015, and travelled from Sintra. I suggest you rent a car with a guide, which I think is required as the roads get extremely dangerous with fog and mist. Works out very well if you are in a group (we were 6) and It is one of those places where there is endless water and... More

While in Lisbon and during a side trip to cascais allow time to see Cabo da Roca you will not be disappointed. Take a sweater or wind breaker teamed since the temperature drops a bit due to the wind. Be sure and visit the gift shop for souvenirs since the prices are very reasonable

If you have the time and the weather is good, this is a nice spot for a quick stop to see the beautiful coastline. There is a marker indicating it's the westernmost spot in continental Europe, which is I guess what draws visitors here...fun, but not what I'd call a "must do."

A quick 30 min drive from Sintra was nice to see the beautiful view and of course to experience the most Western point of Europe.

If you are in Sintra or Cascais, go and see it, but the only appeal this place has for me is that it is the Westernmost point of continental Europe... You know, just standing close to the cliffs, thinking this is "the end" of Europe, it's a strange feeling, almost unreal. Some of the cliffs are indeed spectacular but we... More

Enjoy the panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and the spectacular coastal landforms. A walk along the trail should be wonderful if it is not so windy.

If you are one of those tourists that really need to check their list of all sightseeing attractions, then you will strongly contradict the title of my review... ;) But if you are one of those people who visit new countries to get a feel of how it might be if they lived there (permanently), then we have another story... This is one of those things you just need to go and see if you're visiting anywhere in the area. The views are spectacular and well worth the visit. We stopped here in the late morning in early September and did not find it too windy - although I have been to Cape Spear a few times, which is the... More
