More in depth than I imagined. Displays range fro early Chinese pharmacies to chastity belts. Well done. The pharmacy restaurant was an unexpected treat, especially the cocktail menu which was made to look like a prescription information packet. Very original. The food was great as was the view of the river.…

Modern museum full of very interesting objects...but...the labelling was really poor so information about the objects was scarce and your curiosity is likely to remain unsatisfied. For example, there was a pot shaped like a date. The label said ‘[Pot] Shaped Like A Date’...well I’d got that bit, but I wanted to know why and what it was for. Similarly, I can see for myself that it’s ‘A Gold Snake Shaped Ring’ but a bit more on why it was there would have helped! So go and have a look-it’s only €6.50 per adult and there are some beautiful things there. It’s currently a short visit and your pharmaceutical knowledge is unlikely to be significantly greater at the end than it was at the beginning. There is a good bar in a beautiful garden with an amazing view across Lisbon attached so you can at least try to Google some of the objects with a cold drink afterwards. …

This museum is quite central but doesn't get as busy as many other places in Lisbon. Definitely worth a visit with some interesting displays, doesn't take too long to look around.
