My family of 5 (2 adults and 2 teens, 1 pre-teen) were lucky to find Fado in the Box at the very special Adega Machado in Lisbon, a place steeped in Fado history. The experience is unique because it is offered from 5-6pm with light...More

The Fado is nice and the food is nice as well but very very very overpriced. A normal 3-4€ bottle of wine at the store costs 30-40€ at the restaurant while a soup costs 11-12€. You can draw your own conclusions.

Don’t be fooled by the crowded restaurant and an incorrect time out review u to thinking this place is anything but bad. The food is bland and underwhelming we left embarrassed we wasted a night in this place. Avoid at all costs.

Portuguese friendly service with good food and excellent Fado music. Menu will cost around 44/49 Eur per person without beverages. Show will happen every 30/45 minutes and will last 3/5 songs. It was good but very touristy... if want something more traditional you may want...More

Dear Customer, The Adega Machado is a house with a long tradition in fado, since 1937, and for that reason is a place of worship for the many Portuguese lovers of Fado. What is happening is that at the present time, being one of the...More
