We chose the location (Rua Garrett) for it's central position. Absolutely loved it. Group age 15-71. Lively both day and night, but shutters were great once we were in bed, so noise not an issue. Great shops and restaurants on the doorstep. Minutes to the...More

Dotted with all the modern brands, shops and cutting-edging sales people (sorry to judge), this ancient area has become a taste that has lost its original flavour. One does not need to travel so far to this country to experience these, they are not unique....More

We stayed in Chiado and it was close to many historic items, shops, cafes and a metro station. Narrow cobbled streets and historic buildings add charm.

Schiavo is a very nice neighbourhood in downtown Lisbon. Any tourist should pass through and enjoy strolling around and stop at some of the historical coffee shops.

Located near the beach. It will be most suitable place to visit in evening along the beach side and also located to near to the Metro station and train station Cais do Sodré

Narrow alleyways, cobble stones, lots and lots of restaurants and shops..this area of Lisbon is always busy. The good news: everything is within walking distance and there are some fabulous churches to visit

You can't go to Lisbon and not spend a day in Chiado, unless you're just passing by. If you have time, don't miss this. There is plenty of diverse action and animation on the streets, ruins, museums, the Faculty of Fine Arts, theaters and an...More

This area is where you will find your H&M & Zaras as well as most other mainstream shops - but this area has a history as the area that the creme da la creme of the artist world would live and 'hang'. Transformed today into...More

The Chiado has some of the more expensive shops. It is nice to walk through, stop and have a drink and people watch. Cafes are more expensive in this part of Lisbon.

Enjoy a cocktail, discover a jazz club, hit the dance
floor or simply grab a beer and catch up with your
friends in the street: Bairro Alto, Bica and Cais do
Sodré are the core of it all. Amazing rooftops,
restaurants, cafes, bars, art galleries, museums and
theaters abound. Start off by admiring the river from
the Santa Catarina belvedere, have a cocktail at
PARK's rooftop bar, try a typical Portuguese steak, or

Yes they are, however like everywhere in the world "influenced by fast food chains" with a bit of local taste. as Portuguese i suggest you to go to Terreiro do Paço or Alfama areas to really enjoy Portuguese culture.
