This is a factory shop for a company that makes high quality modern and reproduction tiles and porcelain products. The prices aren't exactly cut rate but are lower than the shops in the shopping district for similar products by ten to fifty percent. It was from €10 - 15 for patterned tiles and from €20 for hand painted tiles. I... More

That's how I feel whenever I get inside this store !! It's always kind of Sant'Anna revisited to me . . . An awesome ceramics store in Chiado area, upper downtown Lisbon - you'll be completely amazed at the diverse display of all kind of articles, including decorative tiles from Sant' Anna's factory dating back to the 18th century, more... Our visit to the factory started with the very start of the tile process with the clay and then each and every step in between. From the glazing and the actually application of the pain on tiles, bowls and plates; ending with the studio room to bring a small treasure home. This is an incredible place and highly recommend it.

We went to the factory in Belem (not to the shop in Chiado, which may well be fine). Very odd. Main gate and factory buildings and sheds open but seemingly utterly deserted. Shop shuttered and padlocked, though evidently still full of stock: note on the shop door suggested whoever had written would be soon back, which was not true. A... More

Sant'anna has been in business since 1741 producing lovely tile. Great selection, cross-section of prices. You can get "basic" tiles as well as very interesting serving pieces, garden ornaments, etc. Not on the main drag of stores.

Stumbled across this little gem. When you look through the window it's quite an overwhelming view of patterns and pottery! Went inside and found my perfect souvenir tile! There are tiles to suit every budget from 5 euros and up. Friendly man serving too who left you alone to have a look!

We took a walking food tour in Lisbon, and our guide recommended this shop as a non-touristy location to pick up traditional Portuguese ceramics and tiles, including ones that had previously decorated some of the beautiful buildings in Lisbon. Tiles ranged in price from 2.5 Euro apiece (for small ones), to 5 Euro for normally-sized ones, all the way up... More

If you are looking for Portuguese ceramics or Azulejos, take a pass through this shop. The proprietor told me it was the downtown Lisbon outlet for the Sant'Anna ceramics factory located in Belen. They had a wide variety of items covering a range of prices including a size able selection of newly made Azulejos. If you are looking for antique... More
