We saw this bridge as we approach Lisbon from the air. I had been told it looks like the Golden Gate Bridge. It is impressive from the air, but not from the ground as we passed under it on the tram.

Huge 14 km bridge with fantastic views. Easiest way is to make sure it's part of any tour you take. Or take a taxi across and back. It's perfect for photos. Shore tours can take you.

Opened in 1998 in time for the Expo now 20 years ago. Tagus river crossing. Northbound to Lisbon toll. South bound free.

This is an outstanding bridge. Lovely to look across the water and see the big statue at the side of the bridge. No doubt a remarkable feat of engineering

As I remember you only pay as you enter Lisbon, not departing. It wasn’t vet expensive just a few Euros.

When you turn in your car inform the rental company of your mishap and they will solve it and charge you for it. If you don't do that you will have trouble in many places in Europe

You can pay with cash. If you use rent car, you can put telepass (transponder) and go straight without stop and queues. The will charge cost of toll-road directly from you card. Very comfortable option,i reccomend. Could... More
