I was expecting something very different, and I was surprised, and happy at the same time . If you need to spend time with the kids this is just perfect, and you will spend more then 2 hours easily. The only thing us , if you go by train is quite a bit to walk with kids , I mean... More

We travelled to Lisbon with 8 children aged between 11 and 14 years and we easily spent 4 hours inside the museum, only popping out quickly to visit McDonald's before returning inside to finish off all the rooms. For three of the children the one that stood out for them was the "Risk" exhibit. It was extremely riveting,a place where... More

The average recomended time is 1.30h to visit. If you think is much, i can tell you that after two hours, my kids were still playing. There is tons to do and they love it. The exihibits are all interactive and fun. You can enter and exit. So if you get bored (they wont trust me) you can go to... More

We have been to lots of science museums and none have compared to this. There isn't anything you can't touch and every new area brought gasps from our 8 year old. We could have stayed all night and not once got bored. 20€ for 2 adults and 1 child making it amazing value. We loved this museum and are already... More

Great "museum". It isn't a museum at this point. Kids can try out different things, and learn something about physics, the human body, sports and different occupations. They can do everythings by theirselves and the nice staff is always there to help out. But it's nothing for toddlers. My 2-year old had fun, but always took things and ran away.... More

I take my kids here at least once a year, and we always spend a couple of hours having a great time. Some exhibitions are permanent, and some are temporary, so there is always something new to check out, and old favourites to revisit. The staff and volunteers are great, and add a lot to the experience. This time we... More

Staying in Parque das Nacoes

Neighbourhood Profile
Parque das Nacoes
This neighborhood was built up at the end of the 1990s mostly because of the Expo '98. The pavilions and structures that once were the home of all the Expo's attractions and exhibits are still culturally and artistically significant. In Parque das Nações you'll explore conference and concert pavilions, a shopping center, trendy restaurants and an enjoyable cable car ride you can't miss out on. On top of this, the amazing Lisbon Oceanarium (one of the most spectacular things you'll ever see in the city) will take your breath away: its respect and will to preserve natural wildlife is uncanny. Easily accessible by metro, bus or taxi from the city center, Parque das Nações is highly recommended for anyone who'll spend more than 3 days in the Portuguese capital.
