In our early days, rent-a-funs objective was to show Lisbon in a way that had not been thought of before making her completely cyclable, be it for those who live in it or for those simply visiting. It was our intention to do so in a responsible, sustainable and original way. However we soon realized that our best attribute is making people smile and what we do best is to make them happy. We were clueless has to why people did not leave our shop when the tour was finished. The next day they would come back for another tour, to rent a bike, to change e-mails or simply to bid us a last farewellThat was how we came to realize how good we were in creating strong bonds with people we barely new but would never forget...

One of the best ways to see and learn about beautiful Lisboa. Our guide Xavier had a lot of history and knowledge that he shared with us during the 3 hour ride. If you like bicycling and want to learn about the city, this is a great experience. Enjoy!

We started of in the central square of Lisbon where we met Xavier. He gave us a small introduction and a briefing on the electric bikes, which are very easy to use. Xavier asked us about our expectations and what we already saw of the city so we didn't have an overlap of sites we had already seen. Lisbon is... More

Xavier was very knowledgeable and kind and we couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. One person in our group wasn't as comfortable on the bikes so he was so patient and provided Us with an easier but still beautiful ride. The 3 hour tour ended up becoming 6 hours and he was so flexible and took care of... More

What a fantastic experience we had on our first day in Lisbon. Thanks to the enthusiasm of our 'personal' guide Xavier we got to know more than expected. Small interesting places, beautiful sights and all the interesting introductions he gave us on different subjects made the tour really worthwhile despite the fact that we missed all the views because of... Just finished a tour with Xavier and it was excellent. Saw a lot of Lisbon I don't think I would have visited or walked through on my own. Xavier was very knowledgeable and friendly. Also a great photographer! We learned a ton and the views were amazing. The electric bikes are easy to handle and make such a difference for... More

If the weather is fine, you want to see Lisbon's major sites, and you are relatively fit, then this is the option for you. The electric bikes are a blast and they do give you a real boost but you also have to pedal. The cobblestone streets require that you have had some bike riding experience as you have to... More

We did the seven hills tour lasting 3 hours+. Our guide Nuno was passionate about his country and about the history of this Lisbon. I would have preferred to have done more cycling and slightly less talking as we had done a guided walking tour of Alfama the day before and we were going over stuff we had already covered,... More

This electric bike tour was just fun......even for a middle aged couple....riding up those hills was so easy. A great way to see the city and our guide Francis?? was very knowledgable.. Took 3 hours all up. Go do it, sooooo much fun.

We (2 of us) booked an afternoon tour and in fact were the only people on it (although I believe the morning tour that day was busier). The bikes make very easy work of the hills (although make sure you keep pedalling as no pedal =no power!) As well as the tourist highlights, we saw lots of fascinating nooks and... More

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
