This lookout area doesn’t give you the best view but you will be able to see the Pte 25 de Abril Bridge from here. Not far from Manteigaria Portuguese pastelería which makes probably the best egg custard tarts in Lisbon. So stop by to try one .

We had read so much about this place and were really excited to see the view from this vantage point. To get there, you have to walk precariously down a very steep hill and then drag yourselves up a dozen exhausting steps (as is the case in much of Lisbon). Once you get there, you will be disappointed to see that there is virtually no vista at all, if you call peeping through a fence blocked by buildings a vista. Don't waste your time.…

The viewpoint is being renovated so is blocked off - not worth a trip here until the work is finished and you can enjoy the view.

The Miradouro de Santa Catarina is on the opposite side of the castle in the Barrio Alto district. It offers views of the Tagus and the Ponte 25 de April suspension bridge. This was a small little park area; because a tall fence was erected it’s very hard to get pictures. Also there were some sketchy people and cops were in the area keeping an eye on them.…
