It is just cruel that the city council allows this zoo to be open. I have never seen such cruelty in my life. There is not space for animals, its tiny and goes upwards all the time. The elephant in the so called elephant enclosure ha about 10 square metes to dwell in. Not only he has no stimulation, he... More

Very cozy and beautiful place to visit! You can enjoy the animals very close and it's a very nice walk with small kids! Very clean place and very friendly staff. On the other hand, not much to choose for lunch except some fast food places. Better have lunch somewhere else. Metro station is very close and runs very good.

Easy to get to using the underground. Cable cart around the zoo is fun. You can get photos taken with some animals and the dolphin show is amazing. Great day out for the family.

Most notably the birds, we noticed several overcrowded cages and bird's (Macaws especially) that were showing signs of illness (mental) by plucking themselves bald. They were in cages with nothing but branches and had no stimulation. Other... More

Not a bad environment for animals that were born there. You can touch the horn of a friendly rinocheros, and there are lots of litlle happy elephants. You can literally flow over the lions...
