This monument is right on the water and in a good area. The detail is great and I would definitely recommend a visit.

I found this to be a very nice attraction, near the water and was worth my effort to see. It is located outside so it is easy to see and visit without the hassle of long line.

The monument shows not Prince Henry the Navigator, but also the other participants in the Age of Discoveries: kings, queens, explorers, artists, mapmakers, scientists and missionaries. The sculptors tried to achieve movement toward the front, that is, toward the as-yet undiscovered lands.
