Managed to go in stadium for free, this must be one of the best settings for any football gound anywhere. Views of statue, bridge, monastry all add to what is a really nice ground. Different level of ground to both Benfica and Sporting but still worth a visit if a football fan. Plus only five minutes walk from all the... More

Located at the Belém area, this small but cozy stadium suits a small soccer team of lisbon. Nice attraction if you cannot get the Benfica game at the Luz stadium. You can see very well the game in a good seat wherever you are. Not many option for halftime to drink and eat. Cheap ticket. Went to see a game... More

Great Club, many years if Sports History, and a great view for the Tagus River. You can also have a good lunch at Varanda Azul and visit the Belenenses Store.

The Stadium is located behind the Jeronimos Monastery on a Gentle Uphill slope ( The Tall Floodlights can be seen from almost everywhere in this part of Belem ). I was allowed to enter the Stadium, even though there was no Tour or Game Going on by a Friendly Steward & my first Impression was that this was one of... More

One of the mitical stadiums in Portugal, still built in the old way and with a bizarre view to the river. Also, a wonderful place for concerts (I went one of Lenny Kravitz). The club that plays doesn't fill half the stadium, but still, could be a pretty cool match to watch.

Situated on the banks of the Tagus with views of the bridge and the monument of Christ the King, the Estadio do Restelo is home to Belenenses Football Club. We attended the game versus Rio Ave. The attendance was approximately 600 in a 19,000 capacity stadium. They didn't know quite what to do with us as neutrals from England so... More

The most beautiful stadium of Portugal. In a historical area of Lisbon just near the major tourists attractions you'll find the Restelo Stadium, place where Belenenses plays. The stadium have an unique view for the river and for some of the most important monuments in Lisbon. It deserves your visit and you don't have to pay to visit.

A single view, a fantastic landscape framework, watch a football game and be able to admire the Tagus River. A unique experience. And without being game day ... with fantastic restaurants options. A must go in Lisbon.

Amazing view over the river and the Crist statue. Great for concerts. Belenenses in the club playing there, that was national champion once.

Staying in Belem

Neighbourhood Profile
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
