Was looking for something unique for our trip and made plans to visit. Surprised at how much two adults, no children, could enjoy a puppet museum. Still have good memories.

We were just wandering down the street when we stumbled upon this gem. It is a small, but well presented museum of puppets and puppetry in Europe. It was well worth the small admissions fee to see these unique puppets. It does not take very long and was virtually empty of tourists. Kids would love it!

I just noticed this out-of-the-way place on a map and thought it might be a good way to spend an otherwise unoccupied afternoon. It was better than good; I'd call it excellent. The collection is extensive and the displays are very well done. I only regret that there didn't happen to be a puppet show in the little theater that day.

We went to Time out Market and walk to this museum, it’s a lovely walk (behind the main road). The museum is quite small but amusing for children. Few points were children can also play with the puppets. Choose well the date of your visited since there are some shows/performances. Recommended if you are around the area.

This is a very good museum. Specialized in marionettes and their use, this is a very focused museum with a brilliant collection of puppets, theatres and items made especially for marionettheatres from different countries. It is really interesting, forst of all because of the collection, but also because the knowledge is very well communicated to the guest. It was probably my best museum experience during my stay in Lisbon. Despite the small size, you can easily spend an hour in this museum. Just go.
