Our guide was Pedro. A guy with great energy and passion for his city. This tour does not take you to typical tourist attractions, but let you get to know the history of the city and the culture. The tour started with everyone introducing themselves and telling what they was interested in, so Pedro could personalize the tour. The tour... More

My friends and I went on the tour on the 21st Mar with Rafael. He was very knowledgeable and took us to some very interesting places. He knew a lot of the history and made the tour very enjoyable. The only downside was that we should have done this on day one not our last day as we would have... More

This free walking tour around the city is absolutely the best! It happens pretty much every day at one of the main squares. It lasts between 2 and a half hours and 3 hours or just over three hours. A very informative city tour. They take you around the main districts of Lisbon, from new to old town, the shopping... More

Miguel took us on a nearly four hours walk through his beloved Lissabon. He told a lot of interesting things about the history, architecture, literature and the people of this gorgeous city. What a wonderful guide! We really enjoyed ourself and met a lot of other nice people from all over the world. We had the feeling that Miguel enjoyed... More

Inke, Thank you very much for such kind words. I am really glad that you enjoyed the tour. The group was quite interested and interesting, and you are quite accurate in your last sentence. We had Inish <sp> 3+ hour history lesson while walking, strong on pride, low on the reality of what happened to Portugal from the time they used to be a world power and the issues the country faces now-from a local-which is supposed to be the actual draw of the tour itself. No chance for photos and the only really... More

Hi there MundusViator, It is spelled Inês, it's hard to imagine that during more than 3 hours you had no time for photos, and regarding the interesting things about architecture, Inês has a Degree on architecture and she makes sure that whenever interests on that behalf arise a good focus on such issues end up being provided, which I'm sure... Saw this on TA and thought there's a catch here......FREE! Who does that these days? There's no catch, it is truly free BUT you're a mean miserable creature if you don't give a reasonable tip ( which is how the guides work) for such a brilliant informative tour lasting 4 hours. Our guide was Ines, a truly committed professional who... More

Olá, Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. It makes me really happy that you enjoyed the tour so much. Indeed, whenever possible, I always try to provide some resting moments for the group and to say things in a way that will be engaging and easy to understand, even in more technical subjects. Our tour guide Raphael was really great, and knew his stuff around Lisbon. The walking itself isn't heavy, and Lisbon is a beautiful place to take in the scenery and history.

First of all our guide Ines was great! Really good local information about history and the life in Lisbon. We had a wonderful time. The tour took around three hours and took us to places we normally wouldn't go to. We recommend this company and Ines as your must go to free walking tour.

I will definitely recommend this free walking tour as your first thing to do when you arrive in Lisbon. Our tour guide Rafael, tells us a lot of stories about Lisbon from a perspective of younger generation of locals. At the end, you can take home a lot of facts about Portuguese history, culture and social development in a really... More
